Welcome to Calipatria High School's College Counseling Page
College counseling is a true strength at Calipatria High School. The counselor, parent/guardian, and student are equal partners in creating college options for your student. Counseling is completed using a holistic review that assess your students strengths, goals, and desires while coordinating with the wishes of the parent.
We offer college planning and financial aid nights for parents/students, and our College Admissions and Application Planning (CAAP) program serves to help students apply to college during the busy college application season. This program is completed one week before the beginning of the academic year and is open to seniors who will begin their college application process. CAAP is also completed 2x per week during September, 3x per week in October, and 4x per week in November, all in order to help your student meet the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) November 30th deadlines.
Here you can find the PowerPoint presentation that was used at last nights Senior College Parent and Financial Aid night. Please be sure to review the information soon as there are time sensitive deadlines that are quickly approaching. If you have any questions regarding the material in the PowerPoint or have any questions about the college application or financial aid process, please be sure to contact me or stop by the counseling office. Lastly, we were joined by financial aid technician Leticia Santiago who shared pertinent information regarding financial aid. If you are interested in speaking to her, she can be reached at (760) 355-6273 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
