Yesterday you should have read about the continued fight for African-Americans to gain equality and the various protest movements and battles during the Civil Rights movement. Today's assignment highlights two individuals who fought their entire lives for the advancement of equality for all.
1. First Handout is Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream" speech excerpt
2. Second Handout is about A. Phillip Randolph.
3. You are to read both assignments and respond to the questions that are on handouts, and place your answers on the Google Doc below.

Yesterday you should have read about the beginning of the Civil Rights movement in the mid 1950's. Two events that occurred during these chaotic times were the Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court Case that overturned segregation and the arrest of Rosa Parks for violating the segregated bus ordinance. Today's assignments take you a little further into these events.
